DBT

Grounding Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a foundational skill in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that helps individuals stay grounded in the present moment with awareness and acceptance. This module teaches you how to observe your thoughts, emotions, and surroundings without judgement, allowing you to respond intentionally rather than react impulsively. Mindfulness is especially helpful for those who feel overwhelmed, distracted, or emotionally disconnected. Its core purpose is to increase self-awareness, reduce emotional reactivity, and support wise decision-making in difficult moments. By practising mindfulness, you develop a greater sense of inner calm and clarity, making it easier to cope with stress, manage ADHD symptoms, and improve emotional balance.
