About
Shame can make you hide, lash out, or give up. Across four weeks you’ll learn to notice shame early, steady your body, and respond with self-compassion and values-based action. We’ll cover Neff’s 3-part self-compassion (self-kindness, common humanity, mindfulness), DBT Opposite Action to shame, ACT defusion (“I’m having the thought that…”), Check the Facts, FAST (self-respect), and a 3-minute Joy & Gratitude practice. Each step is ≤220 words with one short action (5–10 minutes). Links to a short trusted video (Brené Brown, Kristin Neff, Russ Harris, DBT-RU, Therapy in a Nutshell). You’ll finish with a personal If/Then + RAPID plan, a Final Quiz, and a one-page Maintenance Plan. Have a workbook handy (a notebook or our printable workbook) to capture cues, scripts, and wins. This is psychoeducation; not therapy; not a crisis service. AU crisis lines appear inside. Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and privacy (APPs) are built-in.
